Newport Gwent Dragons flattered to deceive against Cardiff Blues this evening. They turned in a fighting first half display and gained an impressive 13-3 lead including an excellent try from Aled Brew. But in the second half they fell apart conceding five tries as their defence crumbled and Cardiff picked up their intensity.
With fifteen minutes played of the second half they were already ten points adrift of Cardiff. Cardiff's tries came from Bradley Davies, Mustoe, Rees, Shanklin and Tom James.
The crowd was 15,210 although there looked much less than that in the ground.
Final score - Cardiff 42 Newport Gwent Dragons 13.
